What can you tell me about NSUH?
I delivered DD @ NSUH while they were still unergoing renovations. I know I have many months to go before DC#2 arrives but I'm just wondering what their maternity wing is like now that the renovations are over.... I've been to LIJ Katz to visit a friend recently and it was amazing. Just wondering how NSUH compares.....

I went on a hospital tour last week. The floor is spotless, and the rooms are all private and pretty big. There is a small fridge in the room, a couch that pulls out into a bed for DH, and most importantly, private, beautiful, spotless bathrooms 
This is my first, but I have heard many horror stories about sharing bathrooms, so it's a relief to see that every patient gets their own .
Definitely schedule a tour just to go check it out. HTH

I delivered my twins there in November. Everything the other poster said about it is true. Beautiful, nice, new private rooms, flat screen tv. Loved the tile in my bathroom .
And the nurses are so so nice.

Since they have private rooms now, are the husbands allowed to stay over night?
I know from my sisters being on the old maternity floor the fathers were only allowed to be there from 11am-11pm (or something like that)

I thought father's could ALWAYS stay overnight. My DH slept in the room (in that chair) in the old unit before it was renovated the first night. I thought the visiting hours was for everyone EXCEPT DH

I called a month ago and they told me unless of special circumstances (like a flu outbreak) husbands are allowed to stay 24/7.
