are hot pack and ice pack ok?
my lower back is feeling goofy and my legs are going numb on and off i have disc issues from before pregnancy but this is the first time i am feeling it like this while pg.
i know we arent supposed to get toooo hot etc....but can i do a heating pad on lower back? can i do ice packs?
not sure what i can do without overheating or freezing the baby

I was told ice is fine.
I was also told heating pads are OK but not the plug in kind as those can overheat you.
The kind you microwave and that cool slowly on their own are good per my midwife group

My dr has said a regular heating pad is fine. And ice is fine as well... No patches because they usually have aspirin in them and no icyhot creams...

I have used a heating pad every single night to sleep in all three pregnancies. So far, I haven't cooked any babies
