36 weeks and 1 CM? wat do you girls think?

Doc just said I was 1 CM dilated. Was anyone else at this point? Did you go early or does this mean nothing??

I was 1 cm and 80% effaced at 36 weeks. Today is my due date and I am still 1cm, but lost my mucous plug today and having contractions! You never know! I thought for sure I was going early! Good Luck

I was 1 cm at 36 w, 2 cm at 37 w, and 3 cm from 38 weeks until I went into labor... at 39 weeks 5 days.

My cousin was 1 cm at 36 weeks and just had her baby last week at a little over 39 weeks.

I'm 38w and I've been 1cm since 36w with no change. grrrrr

I was 1cm at 36 weeks with DD. I know exactly how you feel, I was so excited to think I was going to go early.

I was induced at 41 weeks... only 2cm at that point, but I was fully effaced.

However this is different for everyone. Good luck, you are almost there!

i had pre-e and HELLP and delivered at 33w. when they brought me down to l&d for the induction i was already 2cm and 50% effaced at 33w1d. not sure if it was because of all of the issues that she was trying to get out early, but i was very surprised. the night before that happened i felt the "lightening bolts" down there and i figure that is when i started dilating. she also turned that night and ended up breech so i think the turning probably caused some of the dilation as well. i think sometimes the baby moving around in tighter space can cause minor dilation early on, but i dont think that means that labor is coming sooner.

All I can tell you is that I was 2cm at almost 33 weeks and my water broke at 39 weeks, day of my scheduled CS

With my , I was 1 cm at 36 weeks and had her at 39 weeks, 3 days.

Now pregnant with and having internal tomorrow at 36 wks, 3 days so we'll see where I am.

My friend goes thru the same thing. She is due Friday and has been at least 1 cm since 36 weeks.

I on the other hand, have had all different experiences. I was closed shut with my first 2 up until d-day.

This one, I am 1-2 centimeters and am now 3 days overdue.

Childbirth is a very random thing. It's different every time. I personally think it's pointless to do internals so early on. They don't really tell you anything.
