Re: After my ET, what do I do?

I truly took it easy meaning no strenuous activity, moderate bedrest, etc. Really just not over doing it. I popped in my trusty Sex and the City box set and went to town! The weather has been nice so maybe get a chair and sit out with a book? I was on a ton of meds so I drank H20 like a fish, ate normal (or bland if I had a belly ache.) I wasn't allowed to BD. I would check with your Dr. The week flew by for me! Well actually, I didn't even wait a week before I tested but it went quick!

Lots of luck!

Re: After my ET, what do I do?

I just started stims on Friday, but I was already told I will be on strict bedrest for 3 full days after transfer. I am already thinking about how bored I'll be. I was told that I'm not even allowed to sit during the 3 days. I will be trapped in bed, laying down the entire time.

I plan to bring my laptop in bed and entertain myself with online word and card games.

i have NEVER heard of strict bed rest from anyone on here for 3 days...super curious as to why they need you to do that?

Re: After my ET, what do I do?

I did all different things during each of my transfers and got pregnant from strict bed rest and no bed rest at all ...

Honestly, I say just live your life.... try to stay calm and positive.... and don't do anything strenuous.

If it's going to work, it will work regardless of what you eat or how long you stay off your feet for.

Yup this is when you get to eat the pineapple! Chat Icon

But yes I heard the same thing about keeping the blood flowing....

Also, putting yourself on strict bed rest isn't good for you from an emotional standpoint. It isn't healthy to sit around thinking about whether or not the transfer worked. It can literally make you go CRAZY! I say try to stay occupied with low key things that make you feel good and relaxed.

I did get up every once in awhile, answered the door, got 3 pairs of shoes delivered, Chat Icon and got up off the couch to get food, drink or bathroom while DH was out. I am going to watch a say yes to the dress marathon and Jersey Shore re-runs too! Mom's comong over tomorrow so we're gonna hang outside for awhile with the dog!

We went to lunch right after. Then I went home to sit in the couch. They said no BD and no exercise that will swing a ponytail. And no lifting more than 10 lbs.

Re: After my ET, what do I do?

We were told no BD until beta.

For the day of transfer, I was told to stay off of my feet as much as can, but not to worry if I have to get up to pee, make food, basically what you have been doing.

I didn't question it when I was given those instructions, so I don't have an answer as to why they want me to stay in bed for 3 days. I figured if they were telling me that's what I have to do, I'd do so. Maybe it's my age, my borderline FSH...I really don't know.

I was even told that I am not allowed to go up or down steps. This poses quite a problem because our bedroom is upstairs and our bathroom is downstairs. I was told that I either need to use a commode (not happening) or sleep downstairs so that the bathroom is on the same level.
