ivf girls who take asprin

so today i went to manhattan to meet Dr.Z who will be doing the retrieval.He was very nice except when he tried to find my ovaries lol

anywho we discussed the retrieval etc and he mentioned how you will bleed a bit etc..

so i say like a joke,oh and i am a bleeder..he says what do u mean i explain about my dvt clotting issues etc and the meds i am on

he begins to tell me lovenox no prob but he likes people to be off the asprin for 2 weeks!! now dr.B and my hemo told me only 2 days before we do this no asprin or lovenox

was anyone of asprin that long?

he freaked me out talking bout bleeding and maybe needing to go the er or in severe cases transfusions?/

i am sure he just said that bc he has to but scared the shit out of me

Um, I wiped blood right after the retreival and never again. I dotn think there is much bleeding really. They told me I might spot but only worry if it was a lot.

I think I stopped baby aspirin for all of 2 days before my retrieval.

Ive only stopped it a couple of days before but really it makes little difference. I think it does take weeks to leave your body, to not affect you or thin your blood, where as Lovenox only lasts 12 hrs. So he's sorta right but I've had plenty of procedures, including abdominal ones at the last minute with minimal or little bleeding.
