Pre-Surgical testing: DOH!

When I saw my Doctor on Monday he reassured me that the hospital would be calling me to set up my appointment for presurgical testing. My C-Section is scheduled for this Monday.

Well, I haven't heard from them YET and I am actually off of work today (I babysit for a little girl and she is home sick today) and so I called them just to get a move on things.

Well, they said that I HAVE to call to set up the appointment! DOH! I guess my doc was wrong about that one.

Luckily they have an appointment today at 2:15! So I can get it done today! Phew!

I just got my c-section date yesterday so we have one scheduled in case I don't go into labor on my own. They scheduled pre surgical testing the day before. Did you do the pre surgical testing last time? What exactly do they do?

I did the presurgical testing last time the day before my c-secton. This time my c-section is scheduled for Monday so I can do it this week.

I honestly don't remember much of it ... it was such a whirlwind last time because it was like "Oh, your baby is measuring over 10lbs, let's schedule a c-section for tomorrow" and it all happened so quickly.

I do remember several blood vials being drawn, and paperwork.

I am going today at 2:15 so I will let you know exactly what they did!
