First Haircut for DD and bangs question

Hi everyone, I was wondering where you took your DD's for their first haircut. My DD is going to be 3 in June and her hair is long, I just want her to get a trim and possibly give her bangs.

If your DD has bangs how often do you have to trim them?
Do you trim them yourself or do you take them back to the salon to get them trimmed every time?

Thanks so much Chat Icon

My LO is not even one yet and has had 2 cuts. Unless you are good with scissors, I would 't recommend doing the bangs yourself. I get her bangs trimmed at a kid hair place.

We take DS to Kids Kutz in the massapequa mall. We're going to take DD there in a few weeks for her first hair cut. They've done a great job with DS. They sit them in a chair (car, plane, train) and put their favorite show on the TV. The only thing i would not let my kids do was touch the toys they tried to give DS at one point to keep his head still. It skeeved me. But the people were nice and the place itself was clean.

I'm not a hairstylist by any stretch of the imagination but I think its really simple to trim bangs. Get a pair of hair scissors make sure you comb hair straight and cut straight across. I usually give my dd something to hold that she is intrested in and its takes 2 seconds.
