how long are your sonos usually?
I changed practices with this pregnancy and compared to last time my sonos this time seem much quicker. I really hate it. I wonder if I was just spoiled at my last ob or this is normal... Also do you get sonos on a small computer screen or a big screen? just curious. tia.

Re: how long are your sonos usually?
My office has a small sono room upstairs and you just watch on the tech's screen which is tilted towards you. It's a fairly small screen...maybe 19inches tops? She does pretty quick sonos but she's great about showing specific things that you might ask for ... like if you want to see if the baby has hair or something like that. My DD1 was born with a TON of hair so I always have her check that.
Now...I went to Winthrop Perinatal for my Anatomy Scan with both pregnancies and they take FOREVEr---like 2 hours! You get a huge screen mounted on the wall to stare at ...
But at my regular practice it's jsut something pretty quick!

I think after the 12 week and 20 week sonos (which involve lots of measurements and stuff) they get quicker. They are now just checking the heartbeat and growth of the baby after that. Doesn't need to be long and drawn out anymore.

thanks. why did you go there for the anatomy scan? i'm 30 weeks and so far all of mine have been at my ob's by the sono techs that come from madonna. They are all on a small screen and even the 20 week sono was pretty quick. i'm kind of annoyed.

Re: how long are your sonos usually?
The old practice I went to have the sono machine screen for the sono tech and a big flat screen above you to watch.
The new practice I go to is exactly the same.
I never timed the sono, so I really have no clue. The 12 and 20 week sono's where the longest. Maybe 15 minutes.

Re: how long are your sonos usually?
my sono tech is wonderful I will only see her. She spends so much time scanning me and tells me everything that is going on and the measurements on everything. she always prints out at least 10 pics for me , if not more! she even makes me dvd's of my actual sono session. its so nice to watch at home. the sono room has a 40" tv that i get to look at straight on and see my lil one.
