Re: Preventing stretch marks
Unfortunately nothing will prevent them, if you're going to get them you will whether you use something or not. It comes down to genetics and how quickly you put on weight and where that weight goes. that being said I do use cocoa butter everyday just to soothe the itching. So far I haven't gotten any stretch marks on my stomach. I did get a couple of new ones on my inner thighs (had some form gaining and losing weight as a teen). Good luck to you, hopefully you'll get lucky and not get any!

Re: Preventing stretch marks
at 6 months, i just started using mama mio tummy rub strech mark oil. but i have been using gene's vitamin e cream since the beginning. i am very prone to stretch marks (have a ton on my butt, thighs, and calves) but so far, so good. i know they can show up after delivery, though.

100% agreed. My dermatologist said there is no way to prevent them. You can minimize them with oil. Coconut oil is what my doc suggested. It helped a little bit.

Re: Preventing stretch marks
I really don't think there's any way to prevent them. I was sure I was going to get them because I got them as a teen on my hips and breasts (oddly enough, I don't even have big hips). I put on 40 lbs and had a HUGE belly with DD and was shocked that I didn't get a single stretch mark. I did use the Target knock-off of Johnson's baby lotion but I don't really think that did anything.

Re: Preventing stretch marks
I used Burts Bees belly butter with bought pregnancies. Unfortunetly I don't think there is a way to prevent them. I have been very lucky not to get any on my stomach either time. I do have a few on my hips. I got them on my hips the first time as well. They evenutally do fade, so its not so bad.

Re: Preventing stretch marks
Tons of water, vitamin c, and daily dry skin brushing with a natural bristle brush. I am prone to stretch marks but didn't get a single one on my belly with this regimen.
