Acupuncture
This most recent failed cycle, our first IVF cycle, was devastating. Of course I am questioning every little thing, but I really feel that I need to get my stress and anxiety under control.
I have signed up to speak to a counselor who specializes in fertility, I am gonna take up yoga, and now I am considering acupuncture.
Does anyone have any recommendations for an acupuncturist? Does it hurt? Do you think it really helps?
TIA!

Re: Acupuncture
It doesn't hurt, it helped me relax, and I responded better to meds.
I used Andy Kaplan in RVC and loved him.

I used Dr. Li in Huntington. I felt that it really helped me with the side effects of all the medications as well as the stress of infertility.

Re: Acupuncture
I have been seeing Dr. Xiaoling Fang since the end of January.
She is an MD in China and NCCAOM Board Certified, NYS Licensed Acupuncturist with over 25 years clinical experience. Her offices are located in Great Neck and Northport.
One session is $60 and she prescribes an herbal tea mix that is $49 weekly. I see her twice a week for my PCOS. She has been able to successfully restore my cycle which I haven't had with any regularity in YEARS. The acupuncture is also helpful for my stress and overall wellbeing.

Good luck!

I've been seeing Dr. Li for 3 years now. It has helped my stress levels, gotten my cycle regular, and helped DH's SA results and low testosterone. Of the 4 IVF cycles that we have been through, the last 3 I did acupuncture and have gotten a BFP for all of them. The first I did not do acupuncture and it was a BFN. I 100% believe it helps tremendously.
ETA: Dr. Li is a medical doctor in China and has a PhD here, so he is covered by a lot of insurances because he's a PhD. His website is mdacupuncture.net. Good luck!

Re: Acupuncture
Thank you so much ladies! Unfortunately our insurance doesn't cover acupuncture, but at this point, I really think it will be worth it for the added expense. I honestly think I need to get my anxiety under control and I am willing to do whatever I can to increase my chances!
