*UPDATE: They missed ovulation.* Please help me figure this out - I have no idea what is going on with me!

Ok this is going to be pretty long because I want to make sure you understand my situation completely. I am so frustrated, so ANY insight or advise is MUCH appreciated!!!

Diagnosed with PCOS as a teen and was on BCP for 10+ years.

Conceived my DS 2 years ago via Gonal-F and IUI.

We are TTC #2 and I got my first PP AF at 12m PP.

I want for my RE consult on CD33 of my first PP AF. Bloodwork indicated that I was surging naturally that day, so we just did TI.

Instead of just jumping into meds, my RE wanted me to wait to see if I would O on my own.

I have been going in every couple of days for blood/sono. Today is CD20 of my 2nd PP cycle.

I was there on Monday and Thursday (yesterday). Nothing going on, many little eggs.

I left the office yesterday with a script for 75iu of Gonal-F to start stims.

They called me after my appt and told me that my lining was too thick and that they wanted me to start Provera today as soon as they OKd it after yesterday's bloodwork.

They just called me to tell me that I was surging yesterday!

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?

I was there on Friday, Monday and then yesterday. They did blood and sono each day. I just asked them why they didn't see a dominant egg yesterday and she said it must have been released already.

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?

On Monday there was nothing but little eggs. Is it even possible for an egg to grow that much and be released within 2 days?

They want me back in tomorrow for blood and sono to see if I really did ovulate.

I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!!!! Does this make any sense to you?

* UPDATE *

So I went in today for blood/sono to confirm ovulation. I spoke with the nurses who said that I'm stumping the docs bc there were no follies at all, yet my LH was elevated.

I just got a phone call and they confirmed that I did ovulate.

I'm so upset that they missed this. I was going in every couple of days so we wouldn't miss ovulation! They are saying that the follie must have been hidden on Monday and already released by the time I went in on Thursday. I'm not sure why they didn't pick this up through my bloodwork and it is really urking me. Now I have to wait for AF to come and then I start Gonal F on CD3.

Ugh!! Could the dominant follie been hidden? Ive gone on Cd10 and had nothing then back on Cd12 and had an 18mm that was obviously missed.

Hmm maybe.
Would Monday's bloodwork have indicated that ovulation would happen soon? Before the surge? Not sure how that works.

I'm so upset that this is another cycle down the tubes. My DH won't be home until late tonight and I just feel like we missed our window of opportunity... AGAIN. And now if bloodwork tomorrow confimrs ovulation, then my RE will most likely wait the 2 weeks until AF shows.

E2 would be elevated if there was an egg.

The only solution you have is to attack your DH every chance you get to cover all bases.

Grr... I'm so mad at my RE for not picking this up!

Oh yes, poor guy doesn't know what's coming to him!

Ugh

Hopefully it will give your lining a chance to normalize. Are they giving you the provera still. Wont that bring in af or will you get it in 2 weeks anyway?

No Provera... I just have to wait for AF on my own. They should refund all of my copays this month!

I feel your pain...they almost did the same thing to me this week and I was going to go crazy...it sucks that they could miss something like this and I hope they monitor you more closely next cycle...do OPK's work for you? If they do it might be helpful to track your O with the sonograms...I hope these 2 weeks go quickly and you get AF soon!!!
