If you saved baby clothes from your other DC

I have bins of clothing that I've stored for DS. We've been Team Chat Icon both times so although it will be completely different seasons, I should be able to use some of the gender neutral newborn stuff.

I started to look through some of the neutral clothes. I washed all of the clothes before storing them in bins. By the time #2 arrives, they will have been in storage bins for well over 3 years. Do I need to wash them again before using them for #2? What did you do?

I did, I rewashed pretty much everything. It's nice to freshen them up.

I rewashed everything. It's weird, in unpacking them I found that some stains appeared that were not there when I packed them away. I think formula stains come out over time.

I rewashed. There was a 2.5 year difference between DD and DS. And 1.5 year difference between DS and this one.

I'm having another girl in the same season so it really worked out for me! I'll be rewashing everything. Plus washing all the new clothes I got for Chat Icon !

Re: If you saved baby clothes from your other DC

I am rewashing everything that is neutral, just in case. I'm not rewashing the girl stuff bc I will only do that if we end up having a girl. And btw...some of the things that we saved from 6.5 years ago were stained when we took them out and I will not be able to use them. Chat Icon I guess formula stains don't always show up right away? I was disappointed about that. Chat Icon

Yes, rewash everything before baby puts it on. I found that even storing in space bags, some clothes took on a little bit of an almost musty smell.

Same here - it looks like a lot of the whites suddenly have big yellow stains on them. So not only will I be rewashing everything, I'll be trying to get a lot of stains out. Chat Icon

I re-washed everything, and got rid of some stuff. Especially clothes I didn't really like when DS was little, or anything with a stain.
