Re: Xpost to TTC & MC
I'm so sorry you had to go through this... I am very familiar with pregnancy loss and words just can't describe what any of this is like.
Did they say it came back as a genetically normal female? If it comes back as a normal female, there's a chance it was actually some of YOUR tissue that was tested... making the test inaccurate.
As for steps moving forward.. I would definitely attempt to get answers before just moving forward with the assumption this is just a fluke. Dr.Braverman specializes in multiple losses, so he's one option...

Re: Xpost to TTC & MC
Thank you for responding. They did not say it was a genetically normal female. It was the fetus whole and all by itself so I don't think they confused it for my tissue. (tmi) It came out first before any blood or anything.
Thanks for the advice. I am torn since it was my first MC and I had a healthy pregnancy with my DS. At the same time I don't wanna risk having something happen again if it can be avoided. I am just worried that I will become more obsessive and stressed and have a harder time getting/staying pregnant and being healthy but I guess no matter what happens I now have this black cloud over me..

Re: Xpost to TTC & MC
Wow.. well again.. there are just no words for this AT ALL .. but I'm only an FM away if you ever need to vent. These boards are also amazingly supportive. I've had multiple losses at different stages of pregnancy so I am no stranger to this, unfortunately. One thing I have found after each loss, that having a plan in moving forward is the only thing that helped.
I am sure you were told you need to wait at least 2 cycles to try again.. That's what I've always been told. I think in that time, you have nothing to lose my by seeking out other opinions. Even though you had a successful pregnancy with your DS, a conversation with a doctor or two can't hurt. They will probably run a bunch of bloodwork and best case scenario they tell you it's a fluke and to get on with your life and try again! ..
If there IS a problem, it will be better to find out now, so you could figure out how to prevent it from reoccurring.

Re: Xpost to TTC & MC
Yeah I think you are right about the testing. If there is anything I can do to prevent this happening again I should do it..
I am so sorry you have gone through this multiple times, you are very strong. Nobody deserves to go through this pain, it is like being stabbed in the heart. Even though it was only one miscarriage, it was the worst thing that has ever happened to me and I am just so crushed in every way. Thanks again for answering since I know this is not an infertility issue (as far as I know) and you guys have dealt with much worse.
Hugs to you and I hope you get your beautiful baby asap!!!

Re: Xpost to TTC & MC
There's no such thing as 'worse'.. just different... and I remember from my very first loss, it felt like the air was sucked out of me Getting answers and a plan should definitely help though. I always had to know how I was going to move forward..... I have to have something to look forward to or I'm just stuck in a pool of sadness and nobody wins
