I made an appointment today
To see Dr. Braverman. I'm so terrified and so afraid we won't be able to afford it since it is out of network but my appointment isn't till March 31 so I have time to beg borrow and steal.
I have some question.
1. What should I expect?
2. I have to pay my Oon deductible when I go $1000 . Is that my just get in the door fee or does tha cover anything.
Thanks everyone!

1. He will go over all your history/previous test results and decide if he wants to do more testing then decide on a plan of action. 2. it's a get in the door fee unfortunately! Good luck!

Re: I made an appointment today
I was actually wrong. It's a 500 deductible and 60% coverage but I can't use the coverage to mid April because that is DH 1year anniversary there.

Re: I made an appointment today
Not sure how it works with the anniversary. Mine renews every Jan and it's a $750 deductible every year. You would pay the dr the first $500 out of pocket for office visits etc. So if his fee is $600 you pay $500 then your ins pays 60% after that. Then say a procedure is $1000, they pay $600 and you pay $400. They can tell you exactly what your fees will be but that's basically how it works.
My first re consult was on cd3 so they did bloodwork. They had me fill out papers and went over my history. Some do extended bloodwork. Depending on if you have infertility coverage, basic bloodwork should be covered. Things like the immune panel weren't 100% covered because only certain labs do them I had to meet my deductible. (that was actually what made me meet the deductible). They didn't run that panel on me initially though.
Good luck!
