Can someone describe what they feel like?? I can't remember with DD, and I've had cramps on and off all day.

Re: braxton hicks
I did not have them with DS#1 but I had them with this one.
It isnt like a contraction to me...I felt them when I was in labor with DS#1
But I had braxton Hicks contractions for 2 hours the other day. It felt like menstrual cramps. After I drank water and moved around they got better and I have not felt them since 2 weeks ago. I am 35 weeks preggo on Sat.

It feels like your stomach is getting very tight. One side of your stomach might bulge out a little more then the other side while it's going on but then will go back to normal when it's over. Mine were never painful, sometimes just uncomfortable.

Re: braxton hicks
It can just be a tightening of your uterus but they can be painful too. I get them a lot, especially after work. As long as not 6/ hr and they go away with rest and water they're okay. You generally get more with baby 2 since your uterus is more relaxed. I think the general rule is there is no true pattern, and they go away with water and changing position(laying down). Hth!

Re: braxton hicks
Okay, everyone explained what I am feeling. I was not in pain..definitely did not feel like a contraction, but I was uncomfortable. Menstrual cramp pain, some tingling, tightening etc. I drank a ton of water last night and it was gone by this morning. Thought it was more of a contraction type pain that is why I was getting nervous. Thanks
