Question about DH and baby...
Do you say that your DH is "babysitting" when he stays with the kids?

Nope, they are his kids... I say he "has" them or "is taking the kids"... when someone else has them they are babysitting.

Re: Question about DH and baby...
No...never. Our children are our shared responsibility. We both brought them into this world, so it's both our "job" to raise them.
Well...let's face it, of course we as the moms do more with/for our children (I am a SAHM, so it's what I do day in, day out). But still, when our kids are left with their dads, it's not babysitting. It's stepping up to the plate.
I love when my dh is with the kids without me. It's like he's gotta prove he can do it. So he feeds them, bathes them AND cleans the house. I say !
AND, could you do it more often??

Re: Question about DH and baby...
NO WAYYYYYYYYY !!!!
He doesnt do much else when hes with the kids, but I also hate when he says "I'll watch the kids for you" I stop him in his tracks IMMEDIATELY
I do try to leave mini reminders or to-do lists that he can get done while watching them. why does mommy have to be mary poppins while "she has the kids"

Re: Question about DH and baby...
I have a friend that says her DH is babysitting. I find it really annoying. I say "He's got them". If anyone said he was babysitting, I'd probably reply with "Yes, I was babysitting them yesterday."

I would have to say, I have been baby sitting this kid for the last 6 months, oh and not to mention the almost 10 months that I was incubating him, so in reality for babysitting his kid for 16 months, thats 480 days, 11520 hours, at $10 an hour....he owes me....
$115,200.00
ps, I don't take credit cards.

I agree, though DH has referred to watching Christopher as "babysitting" a couple of times just to tick me off.

Re: Question about DH and baby...
Oh thank the lord because I always find it so annoying when people tell me their hubbys are babysitting. It's like, ok, aren't they his kids too?
