I was definitely feeling very Joan Crawford the other day
She was cranky as all heck and had literally crawled up my butt for 48 hours. I was tired and not feeling well myself and was finding it difficult to clean the kitchen with a wailing two year old attached to my leg. So I sort of raised my voice and asked her to go play by herself in the play room. She gave me a  look and went into her room and SLAMMED the door (attitude starting early). It was REALLLLL quiet for about 5-10 minutes (no music, no toys) so I knew something was up. I opened the door and almost freaked out!!! She had gotten into the powder (not talc, cornstarch ) and had marinated the entire room; her bed, the stuffies, the laundry basket. As soon as she saw me, she hustled under her little table and chairs with one of her teddy's in tow. I had to step back and be like "Wow, she know's she's going to get it" and quietly stewed as I vaccuumed/dusted the bedroom about eight times

It's because we're the authority figures and we have to lay down the law. They're great with everyone else because they are "fun", yet the Mom's are the work mules who have to change the diapers, discipline, etc. They test us the most because we're the LAW.

I have turned into a screamer and I hate that! But somedays the kids are so out of control that I lose it too! This is a tough job, I figure I don't ever want to hit them, so sometiems a good scream settles them down and makes me feel better

Jack is always cranky and whiny with me but with no one else and it is driving me nuts and my patience is wearing thin, so some days I feel bad that I want to trade my life in for someone elses!
