Feeling sad about this being my last pregnancy...

Dh and I have always said that we only wanted 2 kids --- time wise, money wise, attention wise --- we want our children to have everything that they need and do not want to stretch ourselves too thin. We've discussed it from the beginning and we were always 100% in aggreement with it.

But now I'm approaching the end of this pregnancy and I have to tell you that it makes me so sad. People keep asking me if I am done, if I'm ready for it to be over, and I have to admit that I am NOT at all! I love being pregnant.

I love feeling the little movements inside of you. I love watching my belly move at night while this little one is squirming around. I love getting kicked in the spine...lol, yes, even that.

I keep thinking that this is the last time ever and it just makes me feel a bit sad. I know we have to hold to our plans because they've been well-discussed and I can't let my emotions get the best of me, but I wish I could just shake this feeling of being sad over the fact that I'll never be pregnant again.

Am I alone in this or is anyone else experiencing it also?

I think what you are feeling is completely normal. I have always wanted three, but after miscarriages and bad pregnancies, I think this may be it for me. What makes me sad is changing the dreams I once had in my head.

I am not an expert on being pregnant. I have learned this lots of ways lol..I read what you are feeling a lot though. I think it's such a special time for some people and a gift that you want to experience it so much,.

Part of me is sad. After the difficulty I had getting pregnant and then the complications I had during the pregnancy and my age we have come to the conclusion that my DS will be the only one.

We both wanted two but realize we were blessed with a beautiful healthy boy and we are fine with our decision.

I feel the same way @ times and we went out with friends Sat and I haven't even had this baby yet and they were wondering when we were going for #3 ~ I got a little sad that I will not be pregnant ever again! I do love being pregnant and will miss it ~ I am trying to enjoy and soak every minute of this one even when I am not feeling so good!
