I may be only 5 weeks into this Mommyhood thing...
But it is seriously the best thing ever! To all those people who told me when I was pregnant "Hope your ready, your life is over now"...I say

Oh absolutely - 5 months was the turning point for us. Now, I absolutely adore mommyhood and I'm starting to think that I could handle a second, that is, only if the second is a tad more peaceful than Alex!

I'm at 4.5 years & feel the same way. I could see why people want others to experience it so much. I could almost forgive my MIL for mentioning wanting a grandchild 18 times in an hour long car ride.

Everyone warned me that #2 would be a nightmare!!! Nope. I'm very very lucky and had two very very good babies / children.
I'm glad you're enjoying it. Wait until they are talking and you find everything they do hysterical. Delaney's at such a great age - I'm constantly laughing at her.

As a parenting board lurker and a Mommy to be, this post really moved me ... I'm so happy to read the 'flip-side' and hear how fulfilling motherhood is and how happy your life can STILL be ..
I know its not going to be easy and I'm fully aware that life will change - but I"m glad to hear its for the BETTER!

don't worry, my next kid is coming out with a complete set of HORNS and a TAIL...in fact, I am also registering for a pitchfork to complete the look.

To the OP, ... I've had so many 'moments' with my DD where I just look at her and that smile just melts me to pieces. There is truly NOTHING in this world that can compare.

This is EXACTLY how I feel! Christopher is SO good and now that I'm pregnant with #2, people ask me "Do you think this baby will be as good as he is?" and I always give them a flat out "NO". I'm fully preparing myself for the worst!
