Vaccinations before baby's due
My parents are coming in from NY to stay with is for 3 months once baby's born. What vaccinations should they get before they leave?

We didn't ask anyone to get vaccinated before our babies were born, but I know it is recommended that anyone who will be in regular contact with the baby get a TDaP vaccine (Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertussis). Also, a flu shot if it is during flu season.

My doc just told me anyone who is going to be around the baby ALOT in the first few months needs the whooping cough vaccine. He is giving it to me and DH in the hospital after I give birth

ohhh wow ~ I never even thought of this! My first son ~ we didn't do this and honestly I didn't even think of it!

you parents should have the pertusis shot aka whooping cough. You can get it in the hospital before you leave and your DH needs to get it
