No, its completely fycked up.
i wont know till the end of the week if im denied and they doctor would still have to call them to explsin my case but i have no confidence that they will be able to convince them. Im pretty much an email address to them, nothing more, and they dont really know my case well.

And even if they could convince them, ill be ready to trigger by the weekend so it will be too late. My options are to stop the meds and cancel the cycle, or pay 12000 to continue out of pocket.

I spoke with my old doctor and we are going to speak more today, but he might be the only saving grace.

Im livid with that place. Theyve done nothing to move it along, reassure me or help make it right and theyre quick to say it wasnt their fault. I was told to "show some patience". Theres so many players there, i slipped through the cracks.

Oh no!!! I'm so very sorry. I would complain and complain loudly starting with Dr. Browne and if that does not work, Dr. T after this plays out and I'm still hoping that it can be salvaged. I do not understand how you were allowed to stim under these circumstances. Even if you go to another Dr, you are still out the cost of your medication...not to mention the emotional costs and I would personally seek reimbursement. They need to make this right.

That being said...I hope that somehow things work out for you this cycle.

I have never heard of a facility doing this! This is unacceptable! I know my insurance takes two days to approve. Have you spoken to the office staff to get this moving? I usually call my insurance on my own and get things going along with the office staff and double check authorization, etc. I don't know what to say. I would explain to the dr you put your body through this and it was the office's job to get this done and now you are stuck doing meds for nothing. I am so sorry.

Chat Icon I would get on the phone with the dr and also give the insurance a call to find out the status of your authorization.

You know I love Dr. T...don't know Dr. Browne well..but I also know how this should work. You are NOT to blame at all. THAT is ridiculous. I was under the impression that you couldn't even start stims there until you paid out of pocket or had insurance coverage. It just really sounds like they dropped the ball. Period. If you are dealing primarily with Dr. Browne, try Dr. T as he is her boss as far as I know. If he is the one blaming you...then well..I just don't know what to say Chat Icon

Bottom line..if this does not work out...demand to be reimbursed for your meds!!

I did this too.. I called the insurance company when the office wasn't moving fast enough for me. Its so sad but you really have to be your own advocate through this whole process.

I am so sorry! Insurance companies and doctors are so annoying! You are not the one to blame!
