Re: how do you count months?

I didn't go by weeks because it messed me up.

I would just go up so being that she was born on May 31, then she would be a month old on June 30th, July 1 (being that there is no June 31st) and then July 31st, Aug. 31st, etc.

I agree! For the first month, you count when it would be technically a week (ex- born on a monday, she'll be one week on the following monday) After the month mark (which should be on the actual number day of the birth) you count the number day and not the day the child was born.

I count by the number of weeks. Thats just me though. My son was born on a Wednesday so 4 wednesdays later he is one month old. (in my eyes) I do that cause some months are longer and have like almost 5 weeks in them. And then there's february which is a short month. Maybe it was just my way of making him older so his colic would end sooner. Like as of this wednesday the 28th he will be 6 months old (born December 28th) BUT, he is really 26 weeks old. Not 24 weeks which to me is 6 months. Chat Icon I confuse myself sometimes..

Re: how do you count months?

I counted weeks up to about 12. Then I just started using the 26th of each month.

I agree. Go by the definiition of a month (Jan, Feb, etc) rather than weeks since a month is not always 4 weeks. I would do June 30th so you dont' skip over a month.
