Or add or swap out minor furnishings, decor (like pillows, rugs, runners, curtains, etc) for spring and summer?

If so, what do you do?
what do you swap out?

I'm thinking of purchasing some new pillows and curtains, etc and packing up the other stuff to bring out again in September.

It's no secret I get bored.....

Our house is very neutral/warm tones, but in the spring and summer I hang light green curtains in the living room. In the fall/winter I have dark brown and gold ones.

Then in our bedroom I change the bedding to a white/beige set in spring/summer and a chocolate brown/blue/green in fall/winter.

I always buy new decorative pillows for the spring/summer. Sometimes I change the duvet on our bed too.

Yes, but minor things only...

I switch out the throw pillows on my den sofa, I hang a new shower curtain in the main bath, put out different guest towels in all of the baths, new place mats on the kitchen table, different centerpiece for formal dining room table...

That type of stuff. I guess I change the room accessories, where possible!

Not really all I change is my tablecloth and place mats and kitchen towels that don't get used.

our living room has light tan and choc brown pillows... during the winter months (once Christmas stuff goes up) I put the brown pillows away & bring out maroonish red ones that look nice with the decorations. I usually keeo them out until around march.

also, in our dining room (walls are light tan with one choc brown accent wall with a sliding door to deck), I change the normally light blue with brown vertical stripe curtains to cranberry/maroonish during the winter. I usually switch the curtains in the DR & the pillows in the LR around the same time- beg of march.

Not really. The only thing I do is change our dining table centerpiece. We have a clear glass vase. In the winter it has pinecones in it, and in the summer it has shells. That's about as creative as I get Chat Icon Actually this winter I never got around to switching it, so it still has the shells. Chat Icon

I change accents like my table cloth, table runner, and seasonal decor items. Now that I have kids I find myself decorating for the holidays more so than I did before.

Re: Do you redecorate for spring/summer? or in any sort of rotation?

I do a major re-decoration seasonally. Hanging pictures in livingroom, den, dining room, pillows, curtains, etc.

I have warmer tones in the fall and winter months and brighter, lighter hues in the spring and summer months.
I think I probably change the curtains, alittle more than seansonal too.

Bathroom curtain, shower curtain, towels change 4 times or so.

Bedroom curtains, bedsets, pillows, change sometimes more too.

I love showcasing, changing and re-decorating, moving one picture to another area of the house. Making use of things you have just in different rooms.

I have plenty of holiday decorations that replace things like frames or lenox on top of my end tables, buffet table, etc.

I'm also a part of the Home Goods fan club!

Re: Do you redecorate for spring/summer? or in any sort of rotation?

I recently started doing this. I decorate for the seasons and I swap out accessories. For the spring/summer I have lots of flowers.. etc... For the fall, I had ceramic pumpkin bowls.. leaves.. a 'glass dome' with a scarecrow on a hayride Chat Icon (Thanks, Home Goods!) .. For the winter, I have a wicker bowl on my coffee table with pine cones... a snow man figure on my mantle ..

I just do small touches! It makes a bit difference Chat Icon

In my kitchen and guest bathroom, I try to put out festive towels.
