Wine: both red and white but mostly white.
The men drink cognac and vodka. (We are Eastern European  )

We'll have a few bottles of red, a few bottles of white, beer, and whatever else is on our bar (probably Jack Daniels, vodka, and tequila) at the time. I sometimes do a "signature cocktail" for the holidays, and we'll also be doing spice wine heated in the Crockpot.

If I were hosting it, I'd buy Pinot Grigio and Cabernet. Also Bailey's is a must-have for me at this time of the year! Otherwise, I'd have my bar stocked as always--and with my crowd that would include Johnnie Walker as well as vodka.

LOL!- Not much of a recipe! I just use mostly cider (the thick kind that you get refrigerated) and this vodka
I shake it up with ice, rim an ice cold martini glass with sugar and a little bit of cinnamon.
(Lately, I have been using Ocean Spray Cran Apple and it's good too!)

I picked up a bottle of apple cranberry wine from the Fly Creek Cider Mill near Cooperstown when I was there in October. They said it pairs well with turkey, and the sample glass of it was delish!

I just do champagne for appetizers, then white wine--this year i got a nice pinot gris, and and red wine--a hearty zinfandel, for main course. dessert wine with dessert
