Question for all you LV lovers and owners
I asked DH for an LV for xmas. I'm torn between two. I have always wanted a Speedy but I'm worried that it will be annoying that I can't put it on my shoulder. So I'm also considering the Neverfull.
Which one would you recommend and why?

I have a Speedy that DH bought me several years ago.
I can still fit a lot in it and I like it because it's a smaller bag in general.........most of my bags tend to be big and bulky.
It is my go-to Fall/Winter bag.

This is a tough decision. I voted for the Speedy, I have the 30 and I love it! I had the same problem with the shoulder part, but I'm used to it. It's very roomy.
On the otherhand, before I had DD I was eyeing the Neverfull bc I thought it might be easier to just be able to throw stuff into.
I think eiehter way, you'll be happy.

I remember you telling me this!! That is why I'm considering the neverfull. I actually got a coach bag in a similiar style to test it out and see how I liked it. I carried it for the Spring and switched it after 3 months.

I chose the Neverfull. I only have the Neverfull, so I maybe biased, but I have a top handle 'doctor' style bag by Steve Madden, and I can't stand that I can't use it as a shoulder bag.
The Neverfull is also awesome as an overnight bag! It fits everything. Let us know what you choose

Me too! Also drove me nuts when I went out to eat and I couldn't hook it onto a chair and had to put it on the floor!

Have you looked at the Speedy that comes with the shoulder straps? The 2 bags you are considering are completely different. It depends on the shape you want. Have you looked at the Tivoli GM or the Stresa PM or the Montorgueil? I wanted shoulder straps b/c I thought the top handles would get annoying. I went with the Stresa. I would suggest going to the store and trying the bags on

I looooove my Neverfull!!
I don't have the speedy, but I have a bag that is a similar style to it from Burberry. I actually hardly ever use it because I can't put it on my shoulder. Today, I used it for the first time in a while (I had receipts in there from 2009  ) and it was actually not convenient to use while shopping.
That's my only handbag that can't be put on my shoulder. That's typically a requirement for my bags!!

Hi, Have you looked into the totally PM or any other bag. I had to have a shoulder bag but also needed it to zip up. I feel more comfortable when in crowds. Also my bag always goes flying off the front seat at least once a week; sometimes I have to hit the brakes hard.

Same here. I have to force myself to use my Speedy. It's too bad it's so annoying to carry, b/c it really is a cute bag. I just prefer having both hands free, so I really need something that goes on the shoulder.

I bought the Montergueil immediately after it came out in 2008 and it is often still the only bag I carry. It has slightly longer handles than the Speedy and there is something I like better about the look. Check it out. I can never remember whether I have the GM or the PM but it fits a lot.

I have a speedy 30 and I rarely use it...maybe more later when I don't have to tote DD's things around
I am currently using the LV Delightful, LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

I have both (35 and GM) and it's a tough call. I guess I am in the minority b/c the handles don't bother me at all on the Speedy. I use it ALL the time. The Neverfull is great b/c it can hold a ton. I use it daily as my work tote...I like that it's big enough to hold my lunchbox plus all the other crap I have in there.
I LOVE them both but it sounds like you're going with the Neverfull...enjoy it!! I am eyeing the Tivoli for X-Mas

Then Neverfull
My speedy gets used rarely due to me needing an extra pair of hands and I have to hold my kids or a stroller.
Not convenient but a great bag.
