Did you register for..
potty training stuff? Is this something that I should register for or hold off and buy myself when its time?

Hold off so that when your DC is ready , you can get the potty your DC likes. We just got DS an elmo potty and he loves it! I think this also makes it more exciting for the child.

i didn't.. honestly, it was way to far out for me to even think about potty training  but then some friends said, to make into a grand event with your DC, like have them pick it out, and talk about it and stuff.. made sense so I just left it.

Nope. I didnt register for anythign that I probably wouldnt need in the first 6 mons. We jsut dont have the room for all that stuff and I woudl rather have people buy stuff I needed now than soemthing they don't use until 2+ years.

I found that when it was time to potty train my DD she wanted nothing to do with the potty stuff that I picked out for her. I went and bought her a dora potty and surprised her with it and she NEVER went on it.
A few weeks later we took a trip to BRU, I let her pick out a potty on her own and she was potty trained within 3 days.
I think it is nice for the kiddos to have ownership of whatever potty training tools they are going to use.
And so no, I wouldn't register, I'd buy it when they are ready!
