What do you wear with...
Dresses or skirts when the weather gets cold? I mean on your legs? I'm working in a different environment now and just bought a ton of dresses. With anything black, I can wear tights. But what about a different color dress/skirt? Is it a fashion faux pas to wear nude stockings/pantyhose?

I know many people will say not to wear them, but I wear them all the time in cold weather. I found a pair, which more or less matches/looks like my actual legs.

I'm not a fan of stockings, but I would choose them over bare legs in the winter. I've worn black tights with a lacy or striped patterns that let some skin show through with lighter colored skirts. It's less of a contrast than wearing solid black tights. Although you have to be careful because there's a fine line between trashy vs. professional lacy tights IMO.

Same.
I always have a hard time figuring out what to wear if its not black or brown tights...and I usually just end up not wearing the dress...hahah

My office encourages a classic work attire. When i am not in full suits I am in dresses with blazers. I can wear black tights but that is about it. I never really could get away with colored or lace tights so I wear stockings.

There are so many tights to be had that are not necessarily unprofessional and would go with things other than black. I have several grey pairs in varying shades of grey, some really light grey. I have several pairs of wine colored tights which I find to be extremely versatile. I do have some that are sort of a nude color but tights with a pattern/texture on them so they are obviously not hose but tights, and add more interest and look much fresher. Check out Hue tights, they are great! I have great luck at Marshalls finding interesting but not inappropriate tights also.

If you find a well made pair of pantyhose that matches right you can avoid the 80s/90s or Hooter's girl look.
They need to be ultra sheer and not too dark.
I think Hanes makes one called Barely there or something. They are nice.
I try to wear tights- but sometimes a tight just doesn't look right with a certain dress or skirt.
I love the Sally Hansen Airbrush legs- but it's COLD in the dead of winter with nothing on the legs!

I wear tights all the time -black, brown, gray, patterned...
I agree that there's nothing wrong with stockings as long as they're super sheer.
