Heartburn remedy that worked for me

Earlier I had really bad heartburn. The type that is so bad it doesn't feel like a burning, it feels like someone has shoved a knife into your esophagus and left it there. I was looking online for natural remedies.

I have tried almonds before and it works for mild heartburn but not bad heartburn. I have also used milk before which provided temporary relief. I found out today that it works in the short term but the protein in it causes your stomach to make more stomach acid.

I have read numerous places about apple cider vinegar but I didn't have any in the house. One website said that eating an apple does the same thing because there is an enzyme in apples that is also in the vinegar which is what works.

I was shocked but it really did work! I just wanted to pass this along in case it might help others.

Glad that it worked for you. I'm going to go eat an apple right now, since my heartburn is keeping me awake.
