Here's a weird question...
Have you been doing things during pregnancy that you really hated when you weren't pregnant?
I've started chewing ice. I used to HATE when ice even touched my teeth. I always used a straw because of this. Now I fill my glass totally with ice and put some water, and sit here and chew on ice all day. So strange...
What about you? Anything?

I have been drinking a TON of milk! I used to have a half a glass (maybe) but now I am drinking a full glass and still wanting more!

Have you had your bloodwork done recently? I thought it was the weirdest thing that I was craving ice all the time and a bunch of people said that that's a symptom of an iron deficiency. I thought nothing of it, and then I had my blood drawn the following week at my OB appt, and sure enough......Iron deficient. Just something to keep in mind.

Holy crap! I do have iron deficiency and I'm taking iron supplements 2x/day. That is nuts! Thanks so much, that's crazy!

Eating sweets. I never HATED eating sweets but I could take it or leave it. This entire pregnancy I have been a donut, cake feign! I hope it goes away

Weird, right? I thought it was the craziest thing, or like an old wive's tale when people said that. They were right!

It actually has a name - its called PICA - ice is the least unusual out of all the PICA cravings. Like PP said, its usually a symptom of a nutrient deficiency.

i guess that's become my thing too. I was always much more interested in salty or bready things and never a big dessert eater, but since being pregnant i've had a ton of ice cream and pretty much anything chocolate i can get my hands on!

I was watching "i didn't know I was pregnant and the lady would eat cups of ice too! Very interesting that it's linked with iron deficiency.
I haven't done anything too weird yet. I've been repulsed by chicken and pork. It was all meat until recently where I've been eating a lot of beef burritos and ropa viejas. I hardly ever use to go after beef when eating out.
