Another ? about Target/Missoni
Is this like a "lower end" line of the Missoni brand made especially for Target?
And if so, wouldn't it kind of water down the brand name, and make it less exclusive? Why would Missoni want to do that?
maybe i am missing something

Yes, much much lower end.
I think the number one reason designers like Missoni create a line at Target is that it brings them massive amounts of $ and brand recognition, but I agree that it makes them way less exclusive.

they licensed out their name for $ and broader recognition. Look at how many people on the other thread who had no clue who or what Missoni was! Now they do.
Largefeld and Matthew Williamson did it for H&M and it didn't seem to have an impact on their brand image.

I like the idea of high end making some of their name brand items more affordable. In today's economic era crisis it benefits consumer and buyer.
I've been a Missoni fan for years and was thrilled with this. I always loved the scarves. The children's line is adorable. We love it and 35.00 -40.00 for a sweater dress is not bad at all. And mixing and matching works well.
I lived overseas for years so I keep in touch with many friends via Facebook. They are very envious of anyone able to get to Target for this

ITA I've loved their scarves forever but don't wear scarves enough to spend $500 on them. Sometimes they have deals on them at C21 but I'll take the $10-$40 range for the print I like Target's been spotlighting other designers before this but this is the first 'big' name I think. I hope others will follow suit
