Baby Shower depression...
My baby shower is this Sunday and over 70 people were invited. I was asked to provide a list but I'm not helping plan it, however I am so interested in who IS coming and who ISN'T.
I feel like 20 people can't make it. Although they are sending gifts I would rather see them.
I'm totally grateful but a part of me is disappointed. Some people I should have never invited.

you're depressed because you think 20 people might not be able to come, or you KNOW 20 people might not be able to come
why do you think you shouldn't have invited some people? because they said no? 
instead of focusing on that, why don't you think about the other 50 who will be there?

Ita with this poster! be grateful for the 50 people who are coming. Heck i only had 100 people at my wedding at my baby shower i had maybe 25 and loved every second of it. Didnt care who didnt show. What was most important to me were the people that did.

Its disapointing especially if there are people that you would liove to see there that arent there on your big day.
Enjoy the party and all the love from those who are able to make it and those that arent but are Im sure still thinking of you!!

I am sure the 20 people that can't make it would love to be there. 50 people is still much bigger than most baby showers I've ever been to including my own.

I think you are saying that you are just disappointed that they can't make it? That you really just wanted to see them and celebrate? I can totally get that. I was like that for my wedding. Even if you can't bring a gift and need to bring your 5 kids, still come to join us in celebrating!
I hope you still have an AMAZING time celebrating!

I don't mean to sound unappreciative and spoiled. I would love to see these people, not just get gifts.
I'm just tired of some people's excuses. For instance my husband's dumb idiot Aunt claimed they didn't have a ride, once my husband said I'll pick you up, all of a sudden she thought the shower was on Sunday not Saturday and can make it.
Basically I asked who wasn't coming to the shower because I was so curious. It's approx. 20 people. What I'm trying to say is the people who aren't coming were the ones that I figured weren't going to come anyway. You know when you have some people in your life who are preditable?
