I had my Baby!!!
(my first attempt at writting this was deleted! so here is the shorter version...gggrrr)
...and its a girl!!! She is absolutely perfect and DH and I are completely in love with her!
its been six weeks, and she is already getting bigger and I'm already sad how fast she is growing!
the labor itself actually went pretty smoothly, considering that I was hospitalized for three weeks at 32 weeks for preterm labor...then was home on bed rest for another two weeks. I missed my baby shower and it was pretty rough but I got through it! Once I went off the procardia I went into labor only three days later!
Dr. says the labor was pretty text book...ladies get the epi!!! I held out till the dr broke my water and I almost died! I had to have three doses before I was feeling nice and numb...then I had to push. I pushed for about an hour and out she came! She was born thankfully at 37weeks and 5 days.
And she was born with a full set of thick black hair and was amazingly alert! As soon as they put her on me she stopped crying..it was amazing, she knew I was her mommy right away!
The hospital was amazing...from the staff during my three week stay to when I was in recovery after giving birth..North Shore in Massapequa was great..and the room in labor recovery is really swanky! Its totally modern, makes you feel like your staying in a hotel!
I had posted on here about missing my shower and being in the hospital during my preterm labor scare and it was really great to have your support! This has really been a great resource of support and seeing how other ladies are doing and dealing with their own issues during their pregnancy.
Now its onto the parenting board!
Here are some pics and some pics from her big photoshoot! I used AvaJack Photography...Lori was amazing and I loved all the photos! Last pic was taken this past week.
