Good quality but affordable pearls?
I think eventually I would like to get a classic strand of pearls and pearl earrings. Where can I get a quality piece of jewelry that doesn't cost thousands of dollars?

Macy's. The frequently have one day sales with great jewelry buys including good quality pearls.
Lord and Taylor often has jewelry coupons as well.

My mom got me a necklace from QVC - Honora. Don't know what the cost was.
I wear them all the time.

I actually have a really beautiful set from BJ's surprisingly. I'm not sure how much they were, but probably not a lot and they are excellent quality. I also have a set from Kohl's but they aren't as nice IMO.

Maybe check out a site like bluenile or something. DH got mine at Fortunoff's (how I miss this store). I believe Fortunoff's is still selling jewelry via their online store.
