Those pregnant second time around
What are you keeping from your DC and what are you buying?
I will probably keep the bottles and buy new nipples. I will probably buy all new bibs. what about you?

Re: Those pregnant second time around
I have DD's clothes, and have been going through them trying to see what is useable (DD #1 was born in August...this one will be born the end of OCtober).
I have bibs, socks, shoes, stroller, car seat, high chair, boppy pillow...
I got rid of our bottles because they were before the BPA free stuff, so I'll have to buy new of them. I also have to buy a new bouncer/seat, because I think when we moved DD's papasan went to the trash by mistake. Same for a bassinet, because the bassinet part of the pack and play went with the papasan

Re: Those pregnant second time around
Since this baby is a girl and DC#1 was a boy I'm limited in the clothes I can reuse. I went through all the tiny stuff and pulled out anything gender neutral and will use that. Most of the onsies I could reuse and some of the one piece outfits. I plan on reusing the bottles (Dr. Brown glass bottles) and getting new nipples. We have to replace all the bibs because they stunk....yucky! We're reusing the crib, crib sheets, co-sleeper, swinger, chair, high chair, etc.

Re: Those pregnant second time around
I am so won't know about clothes until LO arrives. I have 1 DD who is 14 mos. I will reuse all bottles - get new nipples. Car seat, snap-n-go, all bouncy type seats and other play things like exersaucer, etc will all be reused. Honestly I can't think of much that I will have to buy for this new baby unless it's a boy and will need all new clothes. My DD was not a terrible spitter upper and I had a ton of bibs for her b/c I didn't like doing a laundry every day - I threw out any gross ones so I can even reuse bibs AND burp cloths. I think I will be pretty set...only thing I'll probably need to get down the road will be a double stroller.

*Getting a new swing - b/c I hated the travel one *Getting new nipples but keep bottles *Got a double stroller but all other strollers are fine. *He had SO many bibs that when I packed them away, I threw out the ones we could use for the 2nd one. *New onsies & socks
reusing: *Pending gender - all of his clothes (although if my sister has a boy, we'll have to split it but there is SO much, it won't be an issue. *playmat *rocker *bassinet *toys
etc.. .

Re: Those pregnant second time around
Since I have a DS and this new one will be a boy, all the clothes will be reused if possible bc/ DS #1 was born 8/28 and DS #2 is due 10/18.
Bassient, infant car seat, my nephew's pack n play (we lived in an apartment when DS was born and had no need), bouncer, snap n go and high chair will all be reused. We bought new bottles b/c DH though it was gross to reuse bottles.
Our swing broke b/c my nephew sat in it so we will be getting another one. I thought about a double stroller but DS just turned two and its a challenge to get him to use the stroller now. We may get a sit n stand.
Blankets, bibs, bedding and most toys can be reused as well

Re: Those pregnant second time around
-Buying new bottles because I wound up throwing most of DDs out after awhile because they were stained or smelly or missing parts (I hated the Dr. Browns bottles anyhow- too many parts to clean)
- some new onesies
That's about it for the small stuff. I will need another crib and a double stroller because my 2 will be only 20m apart. Also, I'm having another girl- so I'll be able to reuse alot of the same clothes.
ETA: I do need to get a new jumperoo since my dog ate the elastic strap off of the old one (which was actually my niece's anyway)

Re: Those pregnant second time around
I'm reusing just about everything. All the gear (swing, highchair, bumbo, etc) is in near-perfect condition. Just went through all Charlie's clothes from nb-6m...they'll be different seasons size-wise, so I have to buy more clothes (oh boo-hoo, shopping for little girls is awful ).
I used Playtex drop-ins bottles so I'll use those again and just get new nipples...some new pads (those big sheets that protect the changing pad, sheets, etc)...that's it, I think.

Re: Those pregnant second time around
We are having a DS this time so we need clothes, new crib sheets, breathable bumper, double stroller, crib/mattress, nursery decor, bottles, and paci's. I am also buying new pump tubing, and bfeeding supplies. It sounds like a lot but we do have a lot of bigger things from Em since we did not reveal her gender to anytbody. I have bought most if not all of his stuff so far 2nd hand. I saved a boat load and I also made a list w/Emmy on what we really needed/used and liked so when we had another we could reference that list. It has been very helpful to keep me focused on needs vs wants.
