Do you think my vac in NC will be cancelled?
I rented a house in outerbanks NC for a week starting this upcoming Sunday. Do you think it'll get cancelled/I should cancel it?
If so, any recs as to where to go? I'm going with DH, DD and my parents. TIA!

I plan on doing the same for the house we rented in de next month

I would imagine so, according to this HuffPo article looks like it's tough to get there right now, might take a while to repair/clean up

I would think it would be cancelled - the road is washed out in many places.
My friend was supposed to go there this week and she rented a house in Surfside Beach, SC instead - right outside Myrtle Beach.
It's really nice down there!

They are trying the get places up and running & are saying they are open for visitors. i would call rental co. One of my neighbours is going down there this week.

I called the rental co and asked for the status.
Their response: come on down!
Me: um, is the area okay?
Her: why wouldn't it be?
Me: wasn't there a hurricane...?
I'm not sure what to do yet.

My friends had a house booked beginning this past Saturday through 9/3. They lost 3 days due to Corolla and Duck being closed to visitors, but were able to go today. Everything's great with the house.
