Need an apartment in Holbrook area
Hi! I'm a single mom looking for an apartment to rent with my daughter in Holbrook, Holtsville, Sayville, Oakdale, Hauppauge, Bayport, Blue Point, or West Islip.
Must be at least 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths and under $2000/month. Don't care much whether it's in a home, complex, etc. I'd appreciate any suggestions!

Re: Need an apartment in Holbrook area
Hi, I lurk more than I post, obviously. Spruce Pond in Holbrook is great. Part of Sachem schools. 2 bedroom costs about $1800. a month. Washer and dryer in each apt. 2 bathrooms too (one full bath, one walk in shower) Theres a pond stocked with fish (catch and release) a small playground, walking path around the pond, tennis courts, small gym. You can walk to shopping.
Theres also Hillcrest on Broadway but the older apt's dont have washer/dryers in them. There is a newer section but I think they are closer to $2000 a month. The newer section has granite counter tops, ice maker in fridge, tiled entry kitchen and dining area. There is also the pool, tennis court and gym.
I looked at both complexes thats how I know.

Would you look in Medford? I live in Medford Pond(right on RT 112), beautiful complex and I know right now there is a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom right above me available. They go for around $1750-$1800. Its very nice here:) I have a toddler, they can be playmates
PS. Its a Heatherwood Complex

Re: Need an apartment in Holbrook area
There was this horrible apartment building on the fork of Lakeland and Johnson in Sayville.. but it's not been purchased by a new owner and it is starting to look GORGEOUS. New doors, sliding glass doors with French grids - they are re-roofing and putting in all brand new appliances. I don't know the cost but since it's in a commercial area I don't think it will be over 2000 a month. You should check that out - you may get a deal for being an early renter!
