Can I use..
the clear blue easy fertility monitor if I have PCOS? I read that if you have PCOS ovulation predictors are not accurate and before I spend $40 on it I wanted to know...Thanks!!!

Re: Can I use..
I used them once I went to an RE and could monitor my cycle. If my cycle wasn't being regulated by meds I wouldn't waste the money.

Re: Can I use..
it depends. if you have high LH as one of your PCOS symptoms then no, this wont work for you. it will keep giving you high readings and never peak, because your LH level will always be detected as high.
if you do not have this issue and OPKs do work for you then you can prob use the monitor.
ETA - if you are on clomid you should be being monitored by an RE. then you wouldn't need to monitor it yourself. also medicated you wont necessarily ovulate at the same time that you usually do (if you do on a regular basis).

Re: Can I use..
thanks guys....my gyn said that basically the first 3 months with an RE would be the same thing that he is currently doing...I left my last gyn because she prescribed clomid to me w/o doing any testing and said to call her back in 3 months if it didnt work...If I dont get pregnant this month should I speak to my gyn to refer me to a RE? Can I ask what they do differently than a gyn?
I know that my LH levels are in the "normal" range.

is your gyn monitoring your clomid cycle closely? if so then you dont really need a fertility monitor. if they aren't (ie. they tell you to come back on like CD21 or something like that) then you should just go see an RE and skip the gyn. if you continue on clomid without proper monitoring you can use the monitor but it wont confirm that you are ovulating, it will just tell you when your LH is high (which may or may not be a true surge).
