ladies that go to, or went to RS of NY
Did you go to the IVF seminar? Was it informative? I live out east and I'm trying to figure out if I should go, or what I've read in there pamphlets and classes is good enough.
TIA

It's not required. They require you to go over everything with the nurse practitioner and the injection class. I've did those two and read everything they gave me. If it where closer to me I would definitely do it, but it's pretty far from me and I want to make sure it's worth the trip.

I go to RSofNY and I didn't attend the seminar. I didn't feel I needed it - I already had a decent understanding of the procedure and the meds. I don't think I was missed out on anything.

Thanks. That's how I feel. Everything I've read online and that they gave me pretty much covered everything.

Re: ladies that go to, or went to RS of NY
We went and I didn't think it was necessary. Actually we were both figeting to get out of there. If you've had IUIs, then it's basicallly the same. Just a little more involved with the actual IVF procedure.
The injection class, however, was so worth it to us. We have zero experience with needles and meds, so this was very informative for us. We actually referred to it a few times and it helped us. This is an option too
You do have to meet with the NP, but it's very informative. She goes everything in detail and you can sign all the forms right there with her. We sat with her for almost 2 hours, but we were well aware of what we were in for.
Good Luck
