Stretch marks

I know I am so fortunate so far - I've had almost no undesirable pregnancy symptoms thus far and I'm now 18 weeks. So I feel bad complaining about this, but it is really making me so depressed.....

I am getting the worst stretch marks. And ALL OVER. On my boobs and both of my thighs so far. Oh, and on my a$$ - both cheeks. They look like red staple marks all over my body.

And I've only gained 2 lbs since my 8 week appt, so I'm baffled as to how/why this is happening? If it's this bad at 18 weeks I can only imagine at 30+ weeks. I do use cocoa butter, but I wasn't using it every day. I'm not exaggerating when I say that every day I look in the mirror and see new marks.Chat Icon

If anyone has any advice I will gladly take it. But I have a feeling this is one of those things I just have to learn to deal with. So I guess this is just a vent. Thanks for listening.Chat Icon

Re: Stretch marks

Chat Icon I'm sorry. Don't feel bad about complaining at all. I know I will be very bummed when i get to that point too Chat Icon the good thing is those red marks will fade over time and you will have a beautiful baby to show for it!

Chat Icon Chat Icon there's only so much cocoa butter can do.. its all hereditary, so even the most expensive of lotions cannot stop it from happening. And it will fade in due time.. and you'll have a beautiful baby to show for all of it.. don't be so harsh on yourself.. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Stretch marks

they will fade after you deliver, don't worry about it!

my friend who still has one left at 5 months post-partum calls it her "battle scar" and wouldn't want to get rid of it, even if she could!
