Non-Scheduled C-Section

I'm a little over 30 weeks pregnant with twins and I went to my OB the other day and asked him about scheduling my c-section and he told me that he doesn't want to schedule my c-section, he wants me to go into labor on my own. I never heard of this before and I really don't want to go into labor if I know I'm having a c-section.

Did any of you ladies go through something similar and if you had a scheduled c-section, when was it scheduled?

i was going to be scheudled somewhere aorund 37 weeks, he said we'd set it up. i went into labor on my own at 36 weeks. it was no big deal, i was 2cm dilated when i got to the hospital and then we did the c section

i didn't have a c/s date scheduled wtih my twins either.
i delivered right around 35w, i didn't go into labor but developed pre eclampsia.

my doc wanted to wait for me to go into labor on my own too. i was going to try to deliver vaginally but they were both breech. it i hadn't gone into labor he would have scheduled me at 36w for a c/s at 38w.
