headaches!

I am 15 weeks today and for the last 2-3 weeks, I have been getting horrible headaches. I've had 3-4 per week and they just wipe me out. I've tried Tylenol but it doesn't work all that much, plus I'm scared to take it too often even though I know it's doctor approved. Has anyone else been experiencing this and if so, have you found anything to help?

I tried to think about if I have changed anything in my diet, etc recently... the only thing I came up with is I started taking calcium and vitamin D (per my doctor's recommendations) a couple of weeks ago in addition to my prenatal. Do you think that could be causing it??

I really hope this doesn't last too long... it is NOT fun!

I've had headaches for the past 2-3 weeks, but I'm later in my pregnancy.

I, too, take Tylenol. Last week, my DH offered me a cold compress to feel better and I accepted not thinking it would do anything. It actually felt very refreshing and helped me with the headache. Try that!

And make sure you're hydrated! Feel better!

I had a horrible one last night and a few the week before. I thought it was due to hunger so I ate and felt slightly better. I also think I get them when the weather changes and it is suppose to rain tmorrow. I heard they are normal. I don't want to take anything either.

Actually the first few days of my pregnancy were like this. I had asked my RE about it and he said that between the heat and hormones its prime time for headaches no matter where you are in your pregnancy. His advice to me was stay super hydrated, cool and take regular strength tylenol only when really necessary. He also said, if possible, to try to lay down for a bit and sleep some of it off. I'm like you though - I hate taking anything unless it's absolulty necessary. Feel better!

i had a lot of headaches around that time in my pregnancy too. i read it has something to do with the extra blood flow in your body. i'm sure the heat doesn't help either. tylenol worked for me. hopefully it gets better for you!

I had these with #1 & #3. It hurt to even turn my neck. Both at the same time as you.

ive used a cold compress with some killer headaches during pregnancy and most of the time it actually helps a lot (while laying down in the quiet, if you can)

Headaches are common in the 2nd trimester. Take tylenol and have a little caffiene. Thats what would help me.

i used have terrible headaches 2nd tri.. light would make it worse, especially at work.. i'd go into a dark conference room and press my temples really, really hard, and eat some chocolate.. it relieved it a bit.. at night, if DH was home, he would massage my head.. some days it would be debilitating..

i had a few weeks where i had daily headaches, it does get better i am 24 weeks now and headache free!

Thanks everyone... good to know I'm not alone and that it's pretty common! Today is much better so just going to take one day at a time!
