Do you have anything that you've been wearing forever that you can't ever get rid of?

Like to the point that people have asked you when you're going to toss it? Chat Icon

Funny how my stuff from High School 20 years ago is in style again, though... Chat Icon

Re: clothes that you can't part with

I have some outfits that are a good 6-7 years old but that still fit and still look good and are not obviously out of style so yeah, I rock those. And I'm proud of the fact that I am so thrifty that I can wear things over and over and get a ton of use out of it!! Chat Icon

Stuff I wear around the house, yes but not as much for things I wear out of the house. I have some old sweatshirts and T-shirts and even pajamas that I am referring to.

I have a t-shirt from Walt Disney World that I got when I was 16 and Cinderella & The Prince are airbrushed and it says "PRINCESS NATALIE" on it. I still wear it around the house. I'll NEVER throw it out.

I also still wear my gym shorts from 8th grade.

A pair of purple fleece pajama pants that has snowmen all over them, and are about 6 inches above my ankle. Chat Icon

DH hates them but they are so warm & comfy that I love wearing them in the winter.

Re: clothes that you can't part with

OMG yes, its almost embarrassing to admit but I still have and wear a gray college t-shirt that says Brandeis on it (even though I was accepted but didn't attend) because the material is SO GOOD. I have washed it a thousand times and the fabric still looks as new as the first time I wore it!Chat Icon

I wear it to bed, to the gym, around the house, etc. I dont think I will stop wearing it until the material gives out (if ever!).Chat Icon

I have a pair of black F me shoes, that I would wear out clubbing when I was younger and clubbing. I think I paid $50 for them at Bakers. I LOVE them. I always had a great night when I wore them. They were strapping, and had a sick asss heel, and a platform front. I saved them. I thought if I ever had a daughter one day, I could tell her, mommy used to be able to run in these bad boys. Now, they only make an apperance for evenings in with the manChat Icon

I also have a tank too I bought in oldnavy in 1998. Still comfy, all bleached up and a few holes, but I love to sleep in it.

Re: clothes that you can't part with

I haven't gotten rid of any tees that I bought at concerts.

I have shirts that go back to concerts I saw in '93-'94.

And...I've been to more than 500 shows. Not that I bought a shirt at every single one...but I definitely have a hefty collection of concert tees.

Many of them are in the garage, in storage...but there are some that I wear regularly, and one in particular that hangs in the closet, on a hanger, next to...my wedding dress. Chat Icon

Re: clothes that you can't part with

T-shirts that I wear to bed that I got in college in 1995. Some of them have holes in them. DH wears them to bed too. They are so big and comfy. When the arm holes get too big is when I throw them out. I cannot let my kids see me in them as they really are indecent but oh so soft. I should really get new pjs but these have such special meaning to me. I am glad I am not alone in this.

Most of my clothes wear out or no loger fit, but I still have a blue & yellow tied-died school tee shirt shirt from senior year of HS.

And a bunch of dresses 2 sizes too small that I can't stand to give away yet.
