....did you find that when you told people it was more shock than happiness??
I don't get it. 
With #1, it was tears of joy. #2, still super happy. #3, it's more like "wow, really?".

I work with a girl who just told everyone she is pregnant with her third. And i have to totally agree with you. the reactions were in my opinion kind of rude. People were like really?? Three kids huh? good luck with that. NOone i mean noone had a nice comment to say. Ive been friends with her for a long time and i was very happy for her cause she had a miscarriage last year and was devastated. But the reactions were not nice. Its was sad to me.

I haven't had any rude comments (most have been happy), but I definitely get the "I could never handle that" type of comments.

When I was pregnant with #3 (before I lost it) everyone was just as excited for me - but DH and I have made it known to everyone that we want a third.

We haven't told people yet (I am only 8.5 weeks with my first OB appt. this coming Friday). I know people are going to laugh, feel sorry for me, ask me if it was planned, etc... Huge part of the reason we aren't telling people right away.

Well I told everyone I was DONE with having kids after I had my boy and girl, but baby #3 was a happy surprise, so I heard a lot of "ohh I thought you were done" lol

Wow! I'm suprised by this, but of course people can't keep their mouth shut. I think nothing of someone having three kids. So many people close to me have at least three kids.

I remember when I told my mom that we were pregnant with twins (#2 and #3). She looked at me and said, "wow, three kids. That's a lot." Really Ma??? YOU HAD SIX!!!!
When we threw around the idea of having a 4th my MIL said no way. Meanwhile she has 4. Everyone else seemed happy.

Yeah I am having #4 and i dont even get "Congratulations" anymore. I guess because #3 and #4 were surprises people just stare when they see me.

No one cares  And I did get asked if it was planned and have been told more than once that I'm insane when I confirm I did intentionally sign up for 3 in 3.5 yrs. But, it really doesn't bother me.
I honestly felt a little embarassed telling some people - which is so ridiculous b/c there is no reason why I should be. But everyone makes their assumptions, has their comments, etc.
I even felt like my mom was more concerned than excited this time.
It is what it is.
I'm scared and nervous too - but I was with #1 as a first time mom, and then with #2 as I knew I'd have 2 under 2, and now with #3.
Each pregnancy has it's own fear and excitement, but like someone said on another post - no one really cares as much as we do

ive seen that a lot with my group of frineds... they are mainly my sisters age between 2-4 years older than me and most of them have 3... one is on her 4th right now... and for some reason they've all gotten shocked responses with they were pregnant with #3...

Some people are excited for us right off the bat.
Then I get a lot of , "but you already have a boy and a girl".
And then the, "you're going to be in over your head". But, I say this all the time to myself as well so I'm okay with that one

We got some of the same reactions also. Most were happy but some were in shock. Well, to be fair, I have a DS from a prior marriage so this is really only #2 for DH and I, but our little guy is only 18 months and I got prego when he was 11 mos so ppl were shocked. Esp my MIL (only had DH), she was like "OMG did u want to get pregnant so soon? IDK how you are gonna do it"... lol thanks, me neither but I'll manage
