Christening Spinoff
Has anyone started pricing out places? I was thinking we can start a thread on venues and how much the price is. I think this would be helpful to a lot of girls.
I have only priced out one place
Verdi's - $45 per person with wine and beer
$47 per person with full open bar
Feel free to add yours. I will update as I get more prices.

It is on this list but I can highly recommend the Hibernian hall in Babylon. There are two rooms that can accomodate up to 100 in each or combine the two rooms if you are having a really big party of up to 250.
I am pretty sure each room is $250 to rent and it's $8 a head for beer, wine & soda or $13 for a full open bar. You can use your own caterer or the in-house caterer and prices with him vary depending on what you pick.

I'd go with Douglaston Manor over Verdi's. You can get the bronze buffet menu (or shower menu) with wine and beer for just under $45. Children under 4 are free with the buffet option. I was there on Saturday scouting for shower locales and saw a Christening party- it was lovely.
Westbury Manor is $45pp with open bar in the Hill Room.

we didn't having christenings, but welcoming parties.
#1 we had in our backyard.
#2 we "rented" a town of Huntington Park and brought food in.
for #3, since an outside party is less likely, we have looked into a few places and they seem to be $40-50 (after adding in liquor)
