Ouch!! 37 plus weeks and down there pain
Is anyone else feeling like this? I get these really bad shooting/stabbing/pinching pains "down there" every so often. It's been for a few weeks now but usually if I'm walking now I'm sitting at work and OUCHHHHH!!! Not to mention the feeling of being bruised down there constantly. Anyone else feel my pain?

My doctor said this is normal and called lightening. It's the baby moving towards the cervix. I feel it a lot when I am walking. I went shopping over the weekend and I was def overdoing it because I was feeling it a lot. Sitting is not so bad for me.

Yes! I feel this often now. I guess it started about 2 weeks ago (I am 36 weeks). I was told its the baby making his way down further and getting into position.
Then tell my why I STILL feel him in my ribs all the time?

 I agree. My doctor told me the baby's head is way down but I still feel him in my ribs. I am really short (5'1) so I am thinking this could have something to do with it.

I am 37 weeks also and have had this for the past month and he is getting lower and lower, it hurts to walk and takes about 10 minutes just to roll over in bed because that area hurts like someone punched me in the groin! The midwife said your pubic bone had cartilidge and my baby's head is so big it's probably separating the cartilidge as he moves lower--OUCH! At least at 37 weeks, we have an end in sight!

I got that bad with DC 1. I would have to stop walking and wait it out. It hurt like a bi t ch!!!!!

Yes!! Pinching stabbing pain. Started about 32 wks. Good to know it is serving a purpose though! I was guessing that was baby punching me... lol...

Ive had it since 30 weeks!
Its very painful and unfortunatly for me ....its only getting worse.
Im thankful that the babys head is down and my body is doing what its supposed to be doin....so im ok with the pain!
