Wedding in Oct-- Need dress
My DHs good friend is getting married...In Pittsburg.
Excited to go and excited to be w/out kids.
I def need a new hot dress.
I want it to be fun and flirty and thanks to some weight loss, nothing in my closet fits so clingy would be nice too.
Is sequins too much??

Do you know what kind of place she's having the wedding in? I ask because I went to a Pittsburgh wedding and had a colorful dress with a little sequence and I definitely stood out but it could have just been a more casual place (it was a barn in the middle of nowhere).
This is off topic but they have this tradition out there that DH & I were fascinated by... Everyone coordinates bringing a different type of cookie and then they have what DH & I called "cookie cocktail hour." At least at the wedding we were at, that was it for cocktail hour... no other food, just cookies! It was definitely different than an LI wedding! You have to let me know if your friend has this too!

Well, I;ve been living in Pittsburgh for the past 4 years and been to multiple weddings for my coworkers here, and I would say it can go either way.
Where is the wedding located in Pittsburgh? That's going to make a big difference. If its at a fire hall (a common wedding locale), yes sequins will make you stand out.
If its at the Phipps Consevatory or something, things here can get pretty formal as well.
Then there are like the Holiday Inn weddings which can go either way.
And I agree on the cookie table comment, I am so glad I did not get married in Pittsburgh, my one coworker made over 1000 cookies for her wedding

She lives here in NY but her family is still in Pittsburg (why they are getting married there) a church wedding and I know its at some big hall that she loved and wanted forever.
Like a ny wedding
