Spinoff: Cord blood banking now vs. 9 years ago

I was talking to my sister about our options for cord blood banking. She said that the company they used was very reasonable and she would get the information for me. Well it turns out they used Cryo-cell. The cost 9 years ago was $75 for the retrieval and $50 a year for lifetime storage. Today she called and they are now charging $1,720 plus $125 a year for storage. That increase is unbelievable!!!

omg that's crazy!!!!! you'd think that the cost would be lower.... why is this???
