When was your scheduled c-section as compared to your due date
DS came 10 days early but ended with a c-section. DC #2 will be a planned c-section but I was a little surprised that it will only be 4 days before my due date. Just wondering when everyone else is having their scheduled C.
I'm so uncomfortable already, I guess I was hoping for earlier than 4 days before my due date.......

I had a scheduled c/s for #2 b/c of his size at 37.5 weeks.
I brought it up to OB for this one...and since DS, studies show that elective c/s before 39 weeks may do more harm than good - so 39 weeks is the earliest unless there are complications or you go into labor.

My scheduled c/s with DS was at 39 weeks. I haven't scheduled this one yet, but I know they won't schedule it before 39 weeks unless there is a reason so this one will be between 39-40 weeks.

About a week before....
This one will be 6 days before bec the way the weekends fall
But DC 1 and DC 2 BOTH came a couple days before the scheduled..I was so excited bec they chose their birthday and not the other way around!!

My Dr. won't do them less than 7 days before the due date...
He said something to the effect of NYS having a very close watch on c-sections as of late and they get flack of some sort if its not medically necessary if its less than a week prior...

I'm having a scheduled c/s for DS#2 and the doc has me tentatively scheduled for 10/4 which is 39 weeks.

This.
State is starting to really monitor dates to make sure they aren't performed weeks 37/38 unless its an emergency.

My scheduled c-section with my 2nd was 2 days before my due date. My doc would not go more than a week out (39 weeks) but I was willing to do a VBAC so he let me schedule it on the latest day possible before my due date (my due date was on a Sunday so the last day was the Friday before).

Mine is 10 days early.. just based on the days he does sections compared to my due date. Im due 8/8 (a monday) and he schedules on fridays and since it would have only been 3 days before my due date he went the friday before that (7/29). My 2nd son was 9 days early scheduled.

With DD#1 I was due 8/22, I had her on 8/16, so 5 days prior
With this one, I am due on 10/30, we haven't scheduled yet, but doc said he will do at 39 weeks, and he does them on Monday and Thursday....so it will be 10/24 (6 days prior) or 10/27 (3 days prior). I will likely do Monday the 24th...

I was told I need one but I'm getting 2nd opinions. they told me no sooner then 8 days before because they find that there are sometimes breathing problems. I don't know who my dr was reffering to when he said they now reccomend c-sections no earlier then 8 days prior to a due date
