1st time pregos..
Anyone looking for maternity clothes at 8.5 wks?? I'm 8w2d and my pants are so super tight! Even my leggings what does a girl do? I don't want to buy the next size clothes, just to go to waste.. id rather just get maternity and have it for a long time. Am I alone? Advice?
TIA

Re: 1st time pregos..
I started buying maternity clothes at 10 weeks. I would def. get maternity over the next size up since you can wear them now and grow into them, and you will see how comfortable they are.

Re: 1st time pregos..
I'm almost 7 wks and having the same problem! I feel so bloated and all my pants are digging into my stomach. I am trying to hold out buying maternity pants but not sure how long that'll last.

The next size clothes will come in handy PP. Just a thought.

ITA with this. I was glad that I had some non maternity clothes to wear after.
Something that helped me for a while (and I guess this is similar to the belly band concept). I put a hair tie through the button hole and looped it around the button to stay closed.

I started at like 11 weeks. You could try the belly band now, and then go for the maternity. Maternity grows with you! I'm in the same maternity pants I bought at 11 weeks and I'm almost 30 weeks.

Re: 1st time pregos..
I felt like I needed them at like 7 weeks and held out. I tried the next size up but they just looked stupid cause The waist fit but the butt area was big and looked like I had a load in my pants. I suffered through and actually the bloat went away before the belly started and at 12 weeks I just bought my first pair and LOVE THEM.

Re: 1st time pregos..
I think if you buy the next size most of it will be too big on you (except for the waist)
I bought maternity by week 8 because so bloated.. although the books/webpages I was reading by week 9-10ish your uterus is a size of a grapefruit and baby is size of plum???! so its something in there even though its not really baby bump I read "your waist gets thicker" so totally normal!
Anyway, I bought from motherhood maternity - jeans and slacks and they are soo comfy!!! I bought in my regular size and they don't even look like maternity on. There is definitely room to grow in the stretchy belly part on top and its a bit annoying when it the belly part falls down but it does not fall that anyone else notices. I might wear them forever they are so comfortable! I bought petite but still need to wear heels with them. Later on when heels are no longer comfortable I am going to have to hem them. I also been wearing in my regular size empire waist casual summer dresses which you can get away with until september.
oh and I changed my underwear to grandma style bloomers. Super comfortable.
:)

Re: 1st time pregos..
I was in maternity pants by 5 weeks. I'm a 16 normally and they were snug before BFP. I am still able to wear most of my tops. The belly band did not work for me b/c I have a belly and a big butt so I just felt undressed the entire one day I tried it.

Re: 1st time pregos..
At 10 weeks I bought a whole new wardrobe:) I found the belly band to be pretty uncomfortable so just decided to get comfy pants that I could wear throughout.
