Doggy at home/receiving blanket.
Hey guys, I was told to bring something to the hospital to get the baby's scent on it to bring home to my dog. I was planning on bringing a receiving blanket to the hospital. Just to get the baby's scent on the blanket to bring home for my dog. Should I wash the receiving blanket or no?

I had DH bring home one of the receiving blankets from the hospital each day to let the dog smell. They get replaced by the hospital. I also sent home one of the shirts he wore at the hospital. If I were using something of my own I would definitely wash it before coming in contact with the baby.
